SICH is a Ukrainian manufacturer that has been developing advanced bleeding control solutions for over 11 years. The company produces the SICH Tourniquet, a next-generation limb tourniquet which was designed based on insights gained from modern armed conflicts and real battlefield medical practice. SICH tourniquets are engineered to function reliably in harsh environments and maintain performance despite exposure to dirt, dust, moisture and extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C. This field-proven product is widely used in combat conditions and recognised internationally by professional instructors in tactical and emergency medicine. The SICH Tourniquet features a specialised design that enables severe limb bleeding to be controlled rapidly within seconds while maintaining durability under extreme mechanical stress. Key design elements include a high-strength fastening system to prevent accidental loosening, reinforced metal components for increased durability and an adaptive structure to allow effective application to limbs with a circumference ranging from 5 cm to 40 cm. The tourniquet also incorporates a patented telescopic mechanism and a solid buckle system that is designed to reduce the risk of tissue damage while ensuring reliable compression. A triangular fixation system securely locks the windlass and strap, which is critical during emergency use. Its compact size allows for convenient everyday carrying and rapid deployment when needed. A dedicated time-recording panel with a special coating enables application time to be marked using any pointed object, even without a marker. Today, the SICH Tourniquet is one of the most widely used bleeding control devices in modern individual first aid kits. Between 2023 and 2025, more than 1.5 million units were produced and supplied, including official IFAK kits for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, as well as separate deliveries for military personnel, emergency responders, police officers, drivers, travellers and civilians.
