The World UAV Federation (WUAVF) is an international, non-governmental organization founded in June 2017 by Mr. YANG Jincai (Chairman). The federation was officially launched on October 31, 2017, in Shenzhen, China, and is headquartered in Hong Kong, with a Secretariat Office in Shenzhen.
WUAVF is committed to promoting global collaboration and innovation in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industry. It has established chapters in more than 15 countries and regions, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the USA, Australia, South Korea, Egypt, Greece, Russia, Indonesia, and Finland, and currently includes 45 international members. The organization actively welcomes institutions and partners around the world to join its growing network.
Under the leadership of Chairman YANG Jincai, alongside Vice-Chairmen Professor LAN Yubin, Mr. Jani Hirvinen, and Mr. Jonathan Evans, WUAVF is guided by an esteemed group of international consultants from China, France, Germany, Japan, Pakistan, Thailand, Ukraine, and other countries. Together, they help shape the federation’s mission to advance professionalism and industry standards globally.
Through conferences, exhibitions, forums, publications, and training programs, WUAVF fosters knowledge exchange and serves as a bridge between industry and government. Its flagship event—the Drone World Congress—has become a major global platform for UAV professionals. The 9th Drone World Congress and 10th UAV Expo will take place on May 21–23, 2026, in Shenzhen, China.
