Andy Sage

Andy is Director of Safety Transformation at NATS with overall responsibility for the safe integration of new airspace users into UK-regulated airspace. This includes drone delivery, long-range uncrewed surveillance, advanced air mobility, high-altitude platforms, and space launch. Andy’s team is helping to enable operational trials with operators across the UK and is working closely with the UK CAA and industry to develop standards and means of compliance that will accelerate the integration of new vehicles alongside today’s airspace users. He also leads the NATS OpenAir programme, seeking to provide a national digital data backbone to enable scalable airspace integration across the UK.
