Dr Bob Entwistle

Dr Bob Entwistle is Director of the Soton UAV Unit in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton. With over a decade of experience in drone technologies, his research focuses on innovative UAV design methodologies and novel configurations. He leads projects that advance UAV safety through both design and policy, while also improving efficiency and accessibility. His work has applications ranging from medical deliveries to environmental monitoring and conservation. In addition to his research and enterprise activities, he teaches UAV-based design projects to undergraduates, giving students the opportunity to apply theory to real-world challenges.
