Kurt Swieringa
ATM-X Deputy Project Manager for Technology,

Kurt Swieringa is currently serving as the Deputy Project Manager for Technology for NASA’s Air Traffic Management eXploration (ATM-X) Project. He is responsible for overseeing the technical direction of a research portfolio focused on improving how the airspace is managed and integrating diverse operations into the airspace. Kurt has over 10 years of experience at NASA, which includes research into air traffic management technologies, conducting large UAS flight demonstrations, and leading major research initiatives. Kurt received bachelor’s degrees in engineering physics and aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan in 2010 and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013.
