Matthew Walsh is a marine systems management strategist working across ecology, social science, multidimensional security and applied technology. He founded ReefScan to develop biodiversity platforms and develop tools which strengthen livelihoods, ecosystems, and regional stability. Through consultancy and product development consultancy
with companies like SRT Marine Systems, he supports governments, NGO's and other agencies with nature-linked innovation, surveillance systems and data visualisation solutions.

A key contributor to product development for companies such as SRT Marine Systems and a trusted consultant to governments and multilateral agencies, Walsh has helped shape country-level ocean intelligence infrastructures and supported implementation multi-million technology partnerships globally. In his role as an expert on the EU Mission Ocean Board, he drives innovation and policy for ocean regeneration, connecting digital transformation with ecological recovery and European strategic interests.
