Richard Ruiterkamp

Richard obtained a PhD in astrophysics from Leiden University in 2004. He has published over 30 papers prior to working as assistant professor at the aerospace faculty of Delft University of Technology. Richard was the founder and CTO of Ampyx Power, developing an airborne wind energy system which applies drone technology for energy generation. He is co-founder an d CTO of Sovereign Autonomous Systems, an autopilot and control system company, responsible for the electronic hardware development. Richard has extensive experience in supporting flight control system development and flight testing.
