Adverse weather conditions, particularly in-flight icing, will be a significant hurdle for small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) or drone applications to overcome in the future. Therefore,reducing ice accretion using an ice protection system is critical. This presentation outlines research and system development carried out by CAV Systems to address this issue and provide an effective, low-powered ice protection scalable solution.
